Tucked into a refurbished 17,000-square-foot warehouse near the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is unlike any bar in New York City. The city's first Palm Beach–inspired bar, it transforms an industrial Gowanus space into a year-round tropical escape — part rec room, part cocktail lounge, part retro Florida resort.
The club boasts 10 regulation-size shuffleboard courts, where players of all skill levels can rent court time by the hour and learn the ropes from staff on hand. The concept takes two minutes to learn and a lifetime to master.
The overall aesthetic channels vintage Miami with a distinctly Brooklyn edge. Glossy light wood floors counterbalance the building's original industrial accents, echoed in the black-and-white striped cabanas lining one side of the room.
