Brooklyn’s Mini-Copenhagen Welcomes 499 President
Lux Exposé
Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood is experiencing a dynamic transformation, and at its center is 499 President, a premier luxury rental residence developed by renowned real estate visionaries Brodsky and Avery Hall. This 10-story building is poised to redefine urban living with a distinct Scandinavian-inspired design, world-class amenities, and an unparalleled sense of community.
Designed by SLCE Architects in collaboration with Avery Hall and Brooklyn-based CL-OTH Interiors, 499 President is a testament to timeless craftsmanship and contextual design. Its striking hand-laid Danish brick facade, sourced from the renowned Peterson TEGL, anchors the building in Gowanus’ industrial past while ushering in a new era of refined luxury. The black-framed warehouse-style casement windows further pay homage to the neighborhood’s historic fabric, bridging the gap between Brooklyn’s industrial legacy and its forward-thinking future.
