
Union Market to anchor 350-unit mixed-use development in Gowanus

Gowanus mixed-use development 499 President has secured an anchor tenant. Brooklyn grocer Union Market has signed a 10-year lease to occupy a 10,000-square-foot space
at 532–542 Union St.
Atlantic Retail’s Evan Clements, Austin Knief and Colleen Morrissey represented building ownership on the deal, while ABS Partners Real Estate's Mark Tergesen represented UnionMarket.
“Gowanus is welcoming thousands of new residents who need an amazing neighborhood grocer,” said Martin Nunez, co-owner of Union Market. “Bringing Union Market to the area just makes sense. ... As the neighborhood continues to grow, we’re excited to become a central hub for both longtime locals and new residents.”
